On June 18th, Yantai Zhimei Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. successfully initiated the feeding for its annual production of 30,000 tons of bromine project, marking the official entry of the company's first production base into the trial Operation phase.

Located in the Yinhai Chemical Industry Park in Laizhou City, Yantai, this project is the first enterprise in the park to start trial production, and currently, it is the largest capacity reduction bromine project completed domestically, with a total investment of approximately 240 million yuan.The project adopts highly efficient automated production process design, extracting bromine from imported raw materials and maximizing resource utilization.

During the trial Operation process, the 8 fully automated production lines in the production workshop operated steadily, successfully converting bromine-containing raw materials into free bromine through acidification and oxidation processes. Once in full production, the project is expected to annually produce 30,000 tons of bromine and 25,000 tons of hydrochloric acid, with projected sales revenue reaching 1 billion yuan and tax revenue hitting 200 million yuan. This achievement will make the project the largest bromine monomer manufacturing project in the country, providing a raw material guarantee for the construction of the bromine chemical industry park in the area, as well as expanding the production scale of bromine series flame retardants, pharmaceutical intermediates, and pesticide intermediates.
